This is why I created the "Teach Yoga to Students With Injuries" course that helps yoga teachers know exactly how to manage group and private yoga classes, even when students have injuries or pain.
You might already know that I practiced physical therapy for many years before teaching yoga.
So you might be thinking...."well Trish, of course you were confident teaching yoga to people with injuries and pain."
The truth is, I was worried too. To start, I was not used to managing a group of people. I had to figure out how to manage people with various injuries and complaints...all at once!
I was also clear on this. My role as a yoga teacher was different than a physical therapist. I had to figure out how to separate these roles and to speak from the authority of a yoga teacher when I was being paid to teach yoga.
For the last 12 years of teaching yoga, I developed a simple and concrete system for managing students with injuries and pain as a yoga teacher.
Now I am ready to teach other yoga teachers like you how to easily and confidently support your students with injuries and pain.
I have spent 12 years honing a simple and efficient system to mange students with injuries and pain in yoga classes. I share this exact system in this course! I also break down the complicated processes of healing and pain science. You, as a yoga teacher, will feel confident knowing what your students are experiencing on a physiological level.
If you don't already know this about me, I am extremely passionate about teaching and bringing my physical therapy knowledge and experiences to the yoga world. This is all part of my mission to improve the health of modern society through the practices of yoga. The world needs yoga teachers who are confident working with students with pain and injuries.
